Camera Shake
1. Explain the three types of long exposures.
-Shorter length exposures, where you typically want to capture motion blur of an object or action.
-Medium length exposures, used for dusk, dawn, and many night scenes in cities. It is excellent because it has ambient light to fill in the shadows.
-Long Exposures, great for capturing cityscapes. Times can last from several minutes to hours.
2. How does the use of a neutral density filter change the way the photograph looks?
-It reduces the total amount of light into the camera.
3. What are the steps to shooting lightning?
-Set up the camera where its not raining.press the button on the cable release, wait 5-10 minutes depending on the weather. Metering for exposure times is similar to that of fireworks. The frequency of the lightning will affect the overall exposure, and there are no guidelines (other than experimentation) for how much exposure time you should allow.
4. How are star trails created?
-Its the continuous trails of stars. As Earth spins under the sky, the stars appear to move. When a camera captures that movement, that’s called a star trail.
5. How does Reciprocity Failure change the way the film reacts to light?
- Reciprocity Failure is when the film fails to produce an image that represents the light that was projected onto it.

My Own Shots
I used a 50mm Lens so was not able to take photos that were shutter speed 1/50, F-22.
